Something Old, Something New

Spider Monkey

Street Scene

Woman and Banana

These are a few more of my older works, recolored, or perhaps not, for this new blog.  My skills keep increasing as I commit time and effort to improving my drawing and Photoshop knowledge.

I'm even going to attend a local art school opening up soon.

I feel like in 2019, I haven't been creating that much new stuff, only reinventing old works from the second half of 2018.  My imagination needs stimulation, and I need to commit some serious time to drawing, not to social media or other wastes of time...

The Future of the Human Race...

lies in the past.  You see, this is not the first human race.  It is not the first earth.  And it's not even the first universe.  God has created and destroyed, and recreated the universe over and over again.  This era of the universe is reaching an end.

Morality is at an all time low, Christianity is dead, Jews are openly laughed at.  The prevailing dharma of this era was judeochristianity, and it is reaching it's end.  So what do we have to look forward to?

I hope that there is some truth to the Messiah concept of the Jews.  And we all know by now that Jesus was not the Messiah.  He failed and died, and the God of Israel, the Creator, does not send a losing king.  He sends a winner.

It seems we cannot trust a charismatic leader, they've all failed so far.  Each world religion promises peace, yet none have delivered.  And political leaders are worse than ordinary men, not better.  Look at Donald Trump.  I'd trust a 15 year old black boy with my wallet before I trust him.

All religions, all leaders, all political systems have failed.  It says in Job 33 'God is far greater than mortal man'.

I'm not a prognosticator nor a prophet, so I don't know what is coming.  I don't know the future.  And I don't believe in Moschiach, Jesus, the Mahdi, Matreya Buddha, nor Kalkin, nor anything else religion and mythology can dream up.  And I know how at our hearts, we are all corrupt children.

All I know is I have done my sentence, but committed no crime.  I've done nothing wrong, no harm to anyone and yet I suffer.  It's as if the universe is unfair.

All I can do is learn to wisen up, to grow more content with what I already have, and not fantasize about what hollywood promises me.  Fancy cars, houses, trophy women, fame, honor, respect, wealth, jobs, careers, are all vanity.  All I possess is this human frame (and I must say I am handsome!) and my few things I use on a daily basis.  And that is enough.

Amor

Mexican Pyramid Redone

Nobody loves as intensely as the latin woman.  They seem to ripen under the sun of central and south America to a fine brown and be juicy when bitten.

Love and attention is what everyone is seeking, and what God wants us to have.  But Adam Kadmon, the first man, ruined it all when he and his wife listened to the serpent and disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden.

This is not a myth.  Life began in Mesopotamia, originally in idyllic conditions, and ever since the fall from Grace, man has had to contend with death, illness, violence, crime, infidelity, false religious views, etc...

All I want is a lover, and yet, I live in the lowest socioeconomic bracket in America, in NY, which is a very regressive, old money dominated, and classist part of the country.  I can only dream....

Transitions...

Jet Fighter

China Gate

Chloe's Window

Fierce Woman

I'm transitioning away from martial arts, nutrition, and taoist philosophy, since none of it is realistic anyway, and moving towards art, design, cartooning, and aesthetics.  I have two educations, the first in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the other in graphic design.

While I am a healer and a martial artist, I'd rather explore the world through the eyes of an artist.  This simple kind of art, combined with today's technology, lends itself to the blending of all art forms.

I like drawing, design, writing, music, philosophy, and poetry, and in today's world, I can make something of myself.  There's an audience out there for what I teach.

So here are my four latest works, ranging from years ago to months ago, but only recently colored in Photoshop.

Jet Fighter is a cartoonish interpretation of a Roy Lichtenstein work.  China Gate incorporates symbolism from Ancient China and Taoism.  Chloe's Window is based on a photo a friend sent me on Facebook.  And Fierce Woman is something I drew when I was in Israel in September 2015, but only colored a few days ago.

My life is improving as I discover new things, things that were meant for me, or at least as I get older.

I am discovering art, stoic philosophy, Paleo diet, tai chi, qi gong, yoga, and all the while, I can hear the thumpin of John Lee Hooker's guitar...
